The Military Police issued a bulletin to update the health condition of the teenagers who were stabbed on Tuesday afternoon (10), at the Escola Dom Bosco school. According to Lieutenant Colonel Flavio Santiago, head of the Press Center of the Prime Minister of Minas, after the attack, two victims were admitted to Santa Casa de Bocos in very serious condition. Another victim, also stabbed, was taken to the emergency care unit (UPA), but later also went to Santa Casa with a pneumothorax. A fourth victim injured in the attack was confirmed dead early Tuesday evening. He was a 14-year-old boy, and his name was not revealed.

A school truck observer was also stabbed while trying to rescue children during the riot. According to family members, she was stabbed in the chest and was taken to Santa Casa Hospital, where she will undergo tests. There is also information that one of the teenagers who was admitted to Santa Casa in a very serious condition is now stable and out of danger.

Shortly after the attack, police arrested the suspect responsible for the stabbing and took him to the police station.

The military police are collecting more details about the case and are expected to hold a press conference.

The city of Pocos de Caldas, through its municipal education department, said in a statement that it “stands in solidarity with the entire school community of Escola Profissional Dom Bosco, in this moment of pain and panic, especially with the families of the victims.” Affected students.” The city hall also informed that it is “available for assistance through emergency services, the health network, the education department and the municipal social defense.”
