A 22-year-old claims to have broken the world record by visiting 67 pubs in one day in England. Account manager Nathan Crimp covered more than 29 kilometers in the adventure that began at 11 am on September 17.

He and two friends took turns tasting drinks such as beer, servings of alcoholic and other non-alcoholic drinks. With each establishment he visited, keep the receipt as proof of his accomplishment. The flight ended at 4 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

After completing the challenge, Nathan said, “A big thank you to Olly and Archie who came with me. They were so supportive and it was just as hard for them as it was for me.”

The young Englishman will now claim to break the record held until then by Gareth Murphy, who visited 56 bars in just over 10 hours, after Guinness World Records.

According to Guinness, “For the purposes of this record, a pub is defined as an establishment licensed to sell alcoholic beverages on the premises, although the competitor is not obligated to consume alcohol.”

However, Nathan states that “in addition to video evidence of a complete attempt, an employee at each bar must sign a registration book to confirm purchase and consumption of a drink.”

Crimp told the British newspaper he was sponsored to complete the challenge and raise funds for the UK’s Dogs Trust.

He did so in memory of his Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Kara, who developed cancer in October 2020 and had to be euthanized.
