If you use Instagram, you’ve probably seen “Pull(which redirects to a link) to get more information about something. This is a feature exclusive to some internet users. However, Instagram is considering releasing a similar feature that would allow all internet users to share links in Stories.

According to The Verge, Instagram started the tests by giving some people the option to use a sticker with an integrated link. Once a follower clicks, for example, they are directed to a new page on the Internet.

Today’s Swipe Up involves swiping your finger to open the link. But to access it, you must have a verified account or have at least 10,000 followers.

In the case of the posters under test, they were limited to posts in stories, that is, they will not be available for inclusion in the feed or any other action in the application.

In an interview with the site, Instagram’s head of products, Vishal Shah, stated that few people will take part in the tests initially and that the idea of the social network is to understand how to take advantage of this functionality. Instagram will look at the types of links to be shared and, depending on the executive, will pay attention to misinformation and spam.

Vishal Shah said, “This is the kind of futuristic system we would like to have. This is what we hope to launch, if we are able to make it work.”

Apparently, the initial tests will target people who have some access on the platform, such as activists who still can’t direct people to other sites.
