    Another runner reached the pointer to represent the Brazilian athletics team at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo (Japan). On Wednesday (9), Fábio Bordignon not only set the mark in the 100m T35 (cerebral palsy) class, but also broke the Americas race record, of which he owned, by clocking 12sec 40 on day two of the race. Four years later, in Rio de Janeiro, already in athletics, he took silver in the 100 meters and 200 meters.

    Last Tuesday (8), the first day of selectivity, sprinters Cristian Gabriel da Costa of the T37 (cerebral palsy) and Tomas Moraes of the T47 (arm amputees) earned indexes at the 100m and 400m respectively. Like them, Bordignon is also waiting for the end of the exams, on the nineteenth, to call the CPB to confirm vacancies.

    Also on Wednesday, Alan Fontelles broke the Americas record in the T62 class (lower limb amputees with prosthetics) in the 100m, with a time of 11sec 25. However, the sprinter did not reach the Paralympic race benchmark (10s68).
