If you are a worker formally performing your duties and need to consult a PIS (Social Integration Programme), rest assured. The process can be done very simply through the CPF (Individual Registration) using three different platforms: the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) portal, the Banco do Brasil website, the Caixa Econômica Federal or even by phone.
When is a PIS created?
The PIS is automatically generated for each worker as soon as he starts his first professional activity in a formal way, i.e. it is registered in accordance with the principles of the Common Labor Laws (CLT). In this context, the responsibility for registration falls on the employer and not on the employee.
How to check PIS through My INSS?
Using the Meu INSS portal to consult PIS by CPF number requires prior registration on the gov.br platform of the Federal Government. Through this portal, it is possible to check the time of contribution by accessing the CNIS (National Register of Social Information) and all contributions made by the worker over the years.
After registration, consultation takes place through the following steps:
- Log in to the Meu INSS portal and select “Enter using gov.br”;
- Enter your CPF number and registered password;
- Enter the “Registration Data” tab, where the beneficiary data will be: name, address, documents and NIT/PIS.
How to check PIS through Caixa Econômica Federal?
The PIS consultation through the CPF is carried out by the Caixa Econômica Federal by calling 0800-726-0207. When answering, communicate your desire to verify the PIS number by providing personal information, including CPF, full name and date of birth. After verifying the data, you will not only be notified of the PIS number, but also details such as balance, payment history and other relevant information.
How to consult PIS through Banco do Brasil?
PIS via CPF is consulted through Banco do Brasil by accessing the account through the bank's website. For this:
- Log in to the Banco do Brasil website and click on “Access your account”;
- Enter the branch and current account number, as well as the password to access online banking;
- Then click on “Current Account,” “Miscellaneous Data,” and “Financial Table.”
The system will provide PIS-related information, including balance, payment history and other information.
