The samba song from Mocidade Independente by Padre Miguel, called “Pede Caju Que Dou… Pé de Caju Que Dá,” has become a hit on Spotify. He even beat out artists like Filipe Ret, MC Cabelinho, and Oruam, to become a hit in the Spotify Rio Viral category, and success criteria include more plays, shares, and the number of people who recently discovered the song.

Mocidade aims to offer a journey into the history of cashews. The samba enredo wanders through legends, indigenous peoples and even the arrival of the Europeans who came after this Brazilian treasure.

Samba by Diego Nicolau, Paulinho Mosidade, Marcelo Adnet, Richard Valencia, Orlando Ambrosio, Gigi da Esteva, Leco Monteiro and Cabeca de Ajax will be the first to play on Monday 12 February, as Mossidade opens the night of performances.

According to the association, cashews, Brazil and Mociedade share a lot of history, and samba promises to revive the unforgettable parades of the 1980s and 1990s, on the occasion of Mociedade and the Brazilian Carnival.
