A few days before the Game Awards, TIME, an American magazine among the most famous on the planet, released the 10 best games of the year. in existingAlan Wake 2 comes out on top, outperforms major competitors, and highlights some surprises.
Remedy’s Supernatural Horror Game, which was also nominated for a GOTY Award at TGA 2023, was named Game of the Year. It was ahead of big names like Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Time’s Choice brought surprises. While Street Fighter 6, Sea of Stars, and Pikmin 4 were excluded, Dead Space, Dredge, and Diablo IV, titles that aren’t even in the top category of the Game Awards, were chosen by the magazine’s editorial team to be part of the top 10.
