Grapes have become a very popular fruit all over the world. Originally from western Asia, it is part of the Vitaceae family and has a journey that began around 6000 BC.

The ancient Egyptians actually cultivated and consumed the fruit naturally and also through wine. Over the years, farming techniques migrated from the Mediterranean to other parts of Europe.

The Romans improved their farming technology, as they used grapes in their cooking. It didn’t take long for it to reach other continents as well, becoming very popular due to its distinctive flavor and ease of consumption.

There are currently several different varieties intended for different types of use, which differ in color, size, and flavour. The fruit brings many health benefits, being an important source of antioxidants, protecting cells from free radicals, reducing oxidative stress, and thus preventing chronic diseases.
