Lucas do Rio Verde Industries exported 2.7% of the products from Mato Grosso to customers in several countries, ranking 11th in the country for the volume of products sold to customers in China, Thailand, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and more. According to the Ministry of the Economy, it amounted to $456.54 million (2.1 billion R$) in the first half of the year.
Soybeans are the most exported product, accounting for 54% of the business done by industries in Lucas, followed by pies and other residues from soybean oil extraction with 19%, corn with 13% and soybean oil with 11%. To a lesser extent, uncombed or combed cotton, leguminous vegetables, oilseeds and oily fruits, peanuts not roasted or otherwise cooked, rods and other game items.
As Só Notícias has already reported, Sorriso has surpassed Rondonópolis, becoming the country’s leader in exports, with US$1.599 billion (R$7.8 billion) in turnover. In Sinop, industries have exceeded R$ 5 billion in exported products. Nova Motom ranked fifth in the country ranking with R$3.7 billion exported, while Diamantino earned R$2.2 billion.
