Did you know that there is a tunnel under the Anhangabaú Valley? If so! The one who opened the act on Saturday night (3) was singer Lana Del Rey. The American superstar took a break from rolês in Brazil to be the main attraction on the first day of the second edition of MITA Festival.
With a 42-minute lag and the words “Deus Te Abençoe Brasil” on the screen, Lana came up with a They look all black to loud screams from the crowd, along with three backing songs for the emotional duo “A&W” and “Young and Beatiful”.
After the second track, fans followed along with pianist Lana, who performed a solo number while the artist changed her costumes on stage, inside the impromptu dressing room that the dancers brought to the audience.

The show continued with “Bartender”, the seated singer’s first intimate and captivating moment, as he delivers vocals to the audience with an instrumental full of piano notes.
“I’m really excited to be here with you guys,” said Lana, in English, before transitioning into “Flipside,” a track with strong, powerful drum beats added along to the vocals.
Standing next to a pedestal, “Cherry” was the first moment of the show where Lana continued to sing while daring with dance moves that charmed the entire audience in equal measure.
Themed “Pretty When You Cry” was a stage show in which Lana ventures out with her dancers, singing on stage. The trio of “Ride”, “Born To Die” and “Blue Jeans” made everyone remember that “Paradise”, from 2012, is one of the singer’s best albums. It’s impressive how powerfully and well the audience responds to this moment in the show, singing the singer’s wonderful songs.

“Ultraviolence” stands for collective trance, no matter where you were on the show. It’s a powerful song that gains a lot of strength, body, volume, and power as it grows in the live version. Lana feels and knows we feel her here.
Then, her well-known moment of going down the catwalk ladder and walking into the catwalk pit to kiss and be a huge sweetheart with fans who got squashed into the railing.
The muse returned to the stage with a wreath of yellow flowers that she had taken from the head of a fan who had blessed her minutes before, and without her azure vape affixed to her back, she sang and risked steps rehearsing in the sexy. “White Mustang,” to the sound of a hottie yelling. They didn’t lie!
“Candy Necklace” won a version with Lana sitting on her knees, on top of the piano, and placed in the middle of the stage, followed by “Venice Bitch”. The shy songs that make up the show do very well.

The final act of Lana’s third visit to Brazil rightfully opens with the anthem “Summertime Sadness,” widely known by anyone, mainly because of the edits it’s received over the years. The audience vibrates and sings along with the artist!
The collective catharsis was the moment it was – or rather, the audience! She sang “Get Free,” a song from 2018 in which the artist was accused of plagiarizing Radiohead. I held the microphone to the people and said a great saying: “The voice of the people is the voice of God.” Tears and smiles were opened to the audience at the request of the Brazilian fans, to which the star responded.
The title track of Lana’s latest project, “Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd”, should have been the singer’s penultimate song, but it wasn’t. The Voice heard the audience’s requests and left the setlist to sing “Cinnamon Girl”, before closing the show with the hugely successful “Video Games”.

This was the Americans’ third passage through Brazil. Lana actually came here in 2018, for Lollapalooza, and for her big debut in 2013, for Planeta Terra.
Here, the bronze medal could easily have been exchanged for a heavy gold medal. It’s as if Lana has forgotten that she first appeared on stage, 4 years later, just a week ago, in Rio de Janeiro. The response of those who saw her in the Anhangabaú Valley and the awareness of her talent and her work led to a powerful, brilliant and high-quality performance for the Brazilian public.
Lana Del Rey ended her MITA Festival performance with “Video Games.” By far, this was his most beautiful, elegant, and complete display of all his times here. It was sure that the new age came with everything.
