    MCMV conditions may vary by track. (clone/edit)

    The Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program is a federal government initiative that aims to help low-income families realize their dream of owning a home. However, the application process varies according to the family income group. The application process is different for each corresponding track.

    For Level 1 families

    1. The first step is to apply for a government housing plan at the city council in the city where they live;
    2. Then, the Caixa Econômica Federal verifies the validity of the data of the families, and those who are approved receive information about the date on which the housing will be withdrawn;
    3. It is important to note that the drawings are only performed when the city does not have enough homes for all the families enrolled in the program.

    Track families 2 and 3

    1. It is necessary to have a gross monthly income of up to R$8,000 to enroll in the program;
    2. Recruitment can take place through an entity participating in the Program or directly with Caixa Econômica.

    In the case of the aforementioned categories, the family needs to choose a property before performing a financing simulation on the Caixa website, informing about the type of financing required, the value and location of the property, as well as providing personal data and family income.

    Tracks 2 and 3 can be checked online

    It is important to stress that in the case of Bands 2 and 3, the housing program website displays financing options and offers a comparison of interest rates. If approved, the family hands over the documents to Caixa’s agency or its correspondent, and Caixa examines personal documents and property. Finally, after approval, the family signs the financing agreement.
