We’ve heard that MK 1’s character card will feature several franchises belonging to The WB, including Peacemaker from the DC Universe, and possibly even Homeland from The Boys comic book series, among others yet to be confirmed.
Captain Homeland has seen a rise in popularity following the success of the Amazon adaptation. On the other hand, Peacemaker has the episodes of its series available on HBO Max. WB Games has already taken numbers from other MK Games companies and it wouldn’t be surprising if that happened again.
On the other hand, it is a good idea to keep expectations low. The companies haven’t confirmed the existence of Mortal Kombat 1 yet, so it’s best to wait for the next episodes. Other rumors say the reveal will happen at PS Showcase.
