    A major musical show in honor of the monarchs marked another stage of the coronation of Charles III and Queen Camilla in the United Kingdom on Sunday (7/5). At the start of the evening, the Kings joined some 20,000 spectators in front of the stage in Windsor – about 40 kilometers from London – for a magnificent show.

    The BBC said more than 14 million viewers – in a country of 67 million people – watched the coronation on the BBC.

    Dressed in gold, American Katy Perry sang the songs “Roar” and “Firework”. Veteran Lionel Richie coaxed some of Charles III’s dance moves into the high-energy “All Night Long” move that got the royal family back on their feet.

    “I know you’re looking up at us, he’d be a very proud mother,” Prince William said of his grandmother, the late Elizabeth II, as he took the stage to honor his father.

    The Manchester set of Take That closed out the show, which lasted just over an hour and a half.

    After the pomp of the party on the eve, it was time for the popular festivities for the long weekend, as Monday (8/5) was declared a public holiday.

    Over 67,000 neighborhood “Big Lunches” were organized across the country, with every neighbor contributing food and drink. “It’s the perfect way to celebrate because people spend what they want,” he said. France Press agency Annette Cathcart, 67, in the small town of Ashley Green, southern England.

    “It doesn’t matter if you are for or against the monarchy,” added Rob Barnes, 42. “I have mixed feelings about the royal family, but this is about coming together as a community.”
