In particular, users note a relatively “ridiculous”, but very pleasant update: it will now be possible to respond to comments in Google Docs documents using emoticons.

During the post announcing the news, Google explained that Docs users will be able to use emojis to respond to comments from May 3, which is already Wednesday.
It is also worth noting that this update will be implemented on both the Google Docs web platform and the desktop and mobile versions of the app.

In addition to the ability to reply to comments made in Google Docs with emojis, Workspace users will benefit from a few other new features.
For example, Google Sheets users will now be able to add images to their documents just by dragging and dropping. Other photo editing and editing features will also be implemented in the app.
Something similar has been announced for Google Slides, which will now allow users to change images by simply clicking on them and selecting the “Replace Image” option, rather than deleting the old one and adding a new one.
Finally, we also have news that it will now be possible to add documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files directly to Google Calendar. To do this it will be necessary to drag and drop files into the empty spaces of the calendar.
These three changes will go into effect on May 8, five days after the emoji were introduced in Google Docs. All updates are part of an effort by Google to improve workflow for its users, according to the company itself, in a statement.
