The billionaire fraud in Lojas Americanas may have a bitter taste for exactly 5879 small creditors, who were caught off guard by the judicial recovery request organized by the “Trio Mágico”, made up of group directors and major shareholders, Jorge Paulo Lehmann, Beto Secubira and Marcel Telles.
Each of the small entrepreneurs has a balance of R$20,000 that they get from Americana but they don’t know how, when or if they will actually be compensated.

Apart from these more humble entrepreneurs, there are approximately 15,000 others in a similar situation.
It is so absurd and unfair what Americana has done to its humble business partners that the amount owed to them is equivalent to R$118 million, but it represents 38% of the total fraud detected.
Suppliers, in good faith, supplied the chain’s 2,000 stores, relying on the competence of the trio and were blatantly deceived.
“Trio Mágico” silently took all the money from sales of other people’s products and lied about the financial reports.
In 2022 alone, Americana earned more than R$5 billion in sales, but “Trio Mágico” left a gap of R$49 billion.
To prevent justice from using their assets, the billionaires enlisted the help of Lula’s former Lava Gato lawyer, Cristiano Zanin, to end the dispute.
Zanin has been moved to take over the vacant position of Ricardo Lewandowski at the Supreme Federal Court (STF), who is retiring in May this year.
There is no other way out!
