the British airline Flybe, of which the current TAP chairman is chief executive, on Saturday entered bankruptcy proceedings, as well as canceling all flights and its commercial bid.

“Flybe has ceased operations and all flights to and from the UK operated by Flybe have been canceled and will not be rescheduled,” He reads a statement posted on the regional company’s website.

According to the memorandum, the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings, which was not the first for this company, had a “green light” from the British Supreme Court today, as the court also appointed David Pike and Mike Pink as joint directors of Flybe Limited.

According to the latter official, the bankruptcy is justified by the various problems that affected the company, including the delay in the delivery of 17 aircraft.

Christine Ormeyer-Widener was at the helm of the company between January 2017 and July 2019. According to Reuters, Operations were actually canceled for the first time in 2020, when it employed 2,400 workers.

The company is relaunched in 2021. Based in Birmingham, Flybe operates 21 routes.

In the note left by the company, officials warned that travelers should not go to airports, unless they have flights with other companies.
