Starting January 1st, WhatsApp will stop working on 47 mobile phone models. However, you do not need to worry, because the devices that will no longer receive functionality and security updates are very old models.
In addition to another point that needs to be made is that the end of support does not mean that the owners of these phones will lose access to WhatsApp, at least not in the beginning. That is, the exchange of messages will occur normally, but without new updates.

The invisible button can disable notifications
A kind of invisible button is being tested in the beta version of the messenger that can disable call notifications, especially for times when we can’t or don’t want to be disturbed.
