According to the revenue, in addition to issuing invoices, the system also allows service providers to review other documents that have already been released, in addition to checking other records that have not yet been submitted.

    NFS-e for service providers

To issue an electronic invoice for services, service providers must indicate the customer’s CPF number or CNPJ number, as well as the type of service provided and the amount.

The application is the result of a partnership between the Federal Revenue Service, the Brazilian Association of Capital Finance Trusts, the National Confederation of Municipalities, the National Front of Mayors and other entities representing service providers.

The system is secure and dynamic. The application is protected by password or biometrics. Another feature is that even without internet access, the application allows providers to issue NFS-e.

Thus, once the internet connection is re-established, the system itself sends the invoice issued by the service provider to the municipality. In addition, the customer will also receive a notification immediately after the invoice is issued, through a message on the cell phone.

The intention, according to the Federal Revenue Service, is to standardize the issuance model invoice all over the country. There are currently more than 5,500 different laws and notes. Therefore, the changes should ease the routine of professionals and simplify taxes.
