The Solar Dynamics Observatory, a NASA telescope, has captured a stunning image that looks as if the sun is smiling. The agency itself played with the record you set. “Today, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory spotted the sun ‘smiling,'” they wrote on their official Twitter account. They added, “These dark spots on the sun, seen in ultraviolet rays, are known as coronal holes and are regions where fast solar winds flow into space.” The photo, which was published on Wednesday, 26, is significant. According to the British newspaper “Watchman”, Experts said the holes appearing could mean an approaching solar storm. The Solar Dynamics Observatory telescope was sent into space by NASA in 2010 to collect information from the Sun.
