A 10-speed automatic transmission will be optional.
According to the brand, a number of changes have been made to create a more refined performance car. Improvements have been made to aerodynamics, brakes and tires, as well as brake, rear axle and engine oil cooling. Speaking of the engine, it gets connecting rods introduced in the Shelby GT500 Mustang and a new intake design, with a dual throttle body, for better mass breathing.
There are unique chassis tweaks too, with larger rear anti-roll bars and narrower front shocks, six-piston Brembo brakes, Torsen rear differential and MagneRide shocks.

For those who want more performance, the Mustang Dark Horse offers the handling package, with a Ford GT-like rear spoiler, stiffer springs, larger anti-roll front and rear bars and wider Pirelli Trofeo tires (the tires are standard Pirelli P Zero). There are also, as an option, carbon fiber wheels.

The seats and door panels also use shades of blue on the seams, as well as the seat belts. In the optional Appearance Package, the seats are blue with perforated upholstery.
