“To breathe, it hurts. If I wanted to fill my lungs, I felt the pain. I felt a lot of pinches. It was on the right leg, it was on the left leg,” Sfadaw says.
The crisis occurred in the early hours of Saturday 25 June in the dressing room before the show at the Recôncavo Baiano.
His spine was already closed four years ago. At that time, it was discovered that two discs that cushion the spine had been damaged, with a bulge, in the lower back. This time the contents of one of these discs leaked and invaded the channel inside the spine, through which the nerves that go to the legs and pelvic region pass. That was why Sfadaw was in so much pain.
The doctor performed a procedure called a block. He injected medication and passed a radio current to the site of the injury to reduce pain. Two days later, Wesley felt better and decided to return to the stage.
“I post a picture on social media that says, ‘Guys, today there is a show in Caruarro, in Pernambuco, in São João de Caruarro.’ When I post the picture, I can no longer feel my leg, so I hold on to the stairs. I sort of went down through the arms, supporting “Supporting. And it was the first time I didn’t feel tenderness in my testicles. Here I ran my hand here,” he said. “Oh my God, I feel nothing,” Wesley recalls.

About 90% of herniated discs are treated with rest and physical therapy. But Wesley is no ordinary man…not even a skeleton. He has an extra vertebra in the lumbar spine. Something that is present in only 15% of people. This sixth lumbar vertebra narrows the channel through which nerves pass, increasing the chance of infection. This is what happened to the singer. For this reason, he did not respond to conventional treatment. An operation had to be performed in Sadaou. and so on.
Six days after the surgery, the Fantastic team found Wesley at his home. Since January, he lives in the metropolis of São Paulo, about three thousand kilometers from Energy. It was nearby, on the family farm, that Wesley learned he was going to have surgery.
“I’m starting to get such a bad feeling. Will this be my last lunch on the farm? Didn’t I come to the farm to say goodbye to my children?”, the singer recalls.

Safadão’s recovery depends on something he doesn’t normally do: walking slowly. Something that is almost impossible for the people from Ceará who give 20, 30 shows a month all over Brazil – and they produce and coordinate most of them. But It’s time to put the brakes on.
Wesley’s surgery was performed at Sírio-Libanês Hospital in São Paulo by the team of neurosurgeon Francisco Sampaio.
The reporter, Ernesto Paglia, accompanied the singer on a date. Wesley arrived obedient, wanting to return to the stage later this week.

Francisco Sampaio, Physician: It would be irresponsible, to say the least, on my part, to release him at this moment to return to the stage. But next week, with 15 days and with his recovery already progressing well, he has a 99.999% chance of coming back.
Wesley Savadao: I’m sad because I really wanted to go back, but as I say, I trust God a lot, everything has a purpose, doesn’t it? It’s like he just said, I think the priority is taking care of your life.
