After the release of new security improvements for Windows 10 and 11 Microsoft now announces that Windows 10 Update 21H1 is available for all compatible PCs. Although it was launched in November 2021, this version has been released gradually to users until now, when it will be accessible to all through Windows Update.
Windows 10 21H1 mainly focuses on PCs that do not have Minimum requirements to upgrade your system to Windows 11. Among the highlights of the update are:
- Improved security on WiFi networks that support WPA3 H2E standards;
- The Windows subsystem for Linux now has GPU support for machine learning workflows
- Support for Windows Hello passwordless systems in corporate environments
On the other hand, Microsoft will also stop supporting some versions of Windows with the wide availability of version 21H1. We’re talking about builds 1909 in the Enterprise, Education, and 20H2 Home and Pro editions, which will not be supported on May 10th.
To update your computer system, go to Settings > Updates & Security > Check for updates. The new version appears as an optional update if your version is not close to losing its support.
