    CD Projekt RED, last Tuesday (15), released an update for Cyberpunk 2077 movie. patch 1.5 Bringing the long-awaited release of the futuristic RPG to next-generation consoles, and as usual, performance analysts benchmark the visuals by placing PS4 And PS5 side by side.

    To show the community how improvements have affected the game, YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits Use the following settings to produce a video:

    • PS4: 1080p / 30fps;
    • PS4 Pro: 1224p / 30fps;
    • PS5: 4K/60fps in performance mode and 4K/30fps in ray tracing mode;

    Compare how the PS4 and PS5 versions of Cyberpunk 2077 differ after the patch:

    The first point the analyst made was this: Although the site certifies a dynamic resolution of 2160p on the PS5, the game is most often rendered at 1440p. However, the update in shadows, lighting and also in loading time was noticeable, even when considering the previous result with backward compatibility on the console.

    After patching, the experience is more solid on all platforms. The PS5 now features improved handling of distance detail, texture improvements, and while ray tracing works seamlessly on next-generation hardware, it doesn’t emulate all of the lighting effects and reflections possible in the setup.

    According to the creator, frame rates are more stable, however, as can be seen from the video, drops can occur during cinema. On PS4, these problems are still visible, but in the opinion of the channel owner, “If Cyberpunk 2077 had been released in these conditions a year ago, things would have been completely different.”

    Cyberpunk 2077 has a free trial available on the PS Store for PS5

    Want to test these improvements in Cyberpunk 2077 in the best way? CDPR has released a free PS Store demo for PS5 owners to get a feel of what the next generation of RPG looks like. See more details here!
