Headquartered in São Paulo, but with a branch in Annapolis, Confitt Consórcios has been charged by the Civil Police (PC). The investigation into the case began when the victim recorded an incident in the 4th Police District (DP) who reported that she had joined the consortium in July of this year and had paid, as of the date of the complaint, more than R$07 thousand.

During the steps that took place last Friday (10), search and seizure orders were executed at a coalition representative office, located in downtown Annapolis.

Moreover, it was discovered that the company never obtained permission from the Central Bank of Brazil to operate in the Confederation Zone, as it was just a shell company.

In addition to the documents, a cell phone and a notebook were seized for analysis to aid in the investigations.

PC is still not sure how many people were affected by the coup, but it is believed that there were a large number.

Initially, the authors will be indicted for the offense of embezzlement, however, there is a possibility that the investigations will also point to the offense of forming a criminal gang. If convicted, sentences can be up to 8 years in prison.
