Four months after taking Olympic gold, Ana Marcella returned to compete in the early hours of Sunday and won, once again, the highest podium place on the Israel stage in the FINA/CNSG Swin Marathon Word Series.

The four-time world champion was the fastest in the 10 km distance with a time of 2 hours 01 d 36 seconds. The French ship Oceane Cassignol came second with a difference of 2 hours 01 minutes and 38 seconds. Italian Guilia Gabbrielleschi completed the podium.

The race was held in Praia Real on the Red Sea in Eilat.

He commented on this by saying, “I’ve had a very careful race, and thinking about the next few days, because the last stage in Abu Dhabi will be much stronger. We are fighting for the title of the track and there are a few days between one race and another,” the Brazilian said in an interview with the official broadcast.

As a result, Anna Marcella jumped two places and climbed to third place in the rankings of the world circuit. Next Thursday, she will be back at sea for the closing leg of the world tour, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The next day, also in Abu Dhabi, the Fina party takes place, where the best of the season is awarded. Anna Marcella is seeking her seventh title for the world’s best water marathon athlete, in what will be the eleventh edition of the award.
