Rich German and his friend Matt Wheaton may have found the largest fish ever recorded. The duo recorded their encounter with the giant sunfish in Laguna Beach, California, United States.

Instagram will load in the front end.

“My friend Matt and I were rowing and faced with him… It was hard not to notice! The German told the Daily Star: “He was two to three meters tall, and he was much bigger than me.

Also according to the paddle, in addition to the size, the appearance of the fish also surprised him.

“It’s hard to compare the sunfish to other creatures because it has a strange appearance – it looks like a deformed shark that has been bitten in half. I’ve seen a lot over the years, but this was definitely the biggest.”

According to the Guinness Book of Records, known as the Book of Records, the largest bony fish in the world was another sunfish caught in 1996 off Kamogawa, Japan, and it weighed 2.3 tons and was 2.4 meters long.

Despite the registration, the fish registered by Germany have not yet undergone an analysis to measure their size.

“Matt’s slab is about 4.2 meters long, and if you look at the pictures, you can see how big it is,” said the rower.
