Minister responsible for the UK vaccination campaign, Nadhim ZahawiHe said on Wednesday (23) that 82% of adults in the country have received the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.
Al-Zahawi also celebrated the mark of 60% of Britons being fully vaccinated, meaning they have already received two doses of the available vaccines.
“We have reached a level of 3 out of 5 adults receiving protection from a second dose,” the Minister of Vaccines said in a statement.

The UK was the first country in the West to start a mass vaccination campaign, in December last year, right after the vaccination worker’s approval. Pfizer / Biotech.
The English vaccination uses 4 different immunizers, all of which are approved by the country’s health authority, and are distributed free of charge by the NHS, a public health system, similar to the Brazilian SUS.

The first three doses require two doses for complete immunization, while the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine requires only one dose for protection.

British Health Service warns against hospital discharge; The epidemic is still considered under control
The UK Health Service has issued a warning about an increase in the number of people with Covid-19 who need respirators in hospitals. (see video above).
Experts have predicted this increase since the country’s gradual reopening, with more people on the streets and the dominance of the delta variant, which was first identified in India.
However, the British government is keeping to the date it will end all restrictions imposed on Covid-19 on July 19, the height of summer in the northern hemisphere.
In the UK, where the delta variant is already prevalent, the Department of Health has confirmed that the two doses applied provide protection against infection.
“It is important that people get two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, because the data shows us that it can effectively protect against the delta variant,” Minister Matt Hancock said.
