    In November, many mobile phone models that are considered outdated will not be able to access the WhatsApp instant messaging application. According to experts, there is not much that you can do, if your cell phone is on the list, you will either have to change the messaging app, or you will have to change your cell phone.

    Cell phones that no longer work on WhatsApp

    Thus, mobile phones with Android operating system up to 4.0.4 and Apple mobile phones with iOS 9 or lower will not be able to access WhatsApp in November. Typically, devices running WhatsApp are those with an operating system equal to or greater than:

    • Android 4.1 e later;
    • iPhones with iOS 10 or later;
    • Devices with KaiOS 2.5.1 or later, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2.
