    He stressed that “Western colleagues want to keep it.”

    However, on the Brazilian side, Mauro Vieira stressed that the position is an “immediate ceasefire” and that Brazil wants to “contribute to a peaceful resolution of the conflict” and facilitate the mediation of “negotiations between Russia and Ukraine”.

    While praising Brazilian President Lula da Silva and his foreign policy, the Russian ruler said he “supports Brazil’s participation as a permanent member” of the United Nations Security Council.
