A 50-year-old YouTuber was killed during a live broadcast in Busan, South Korea, after being stabbed by a co-worker.

According to Yonhap, the attack occurred in front of the Busan District Court, while the victim was broadcasting live, and was committed by another YouTube user, whose identity was not revealed.

The attacker, also 50, fled the scene in a car after the crime, but police arrested him two hours later in the city of Gyeongju, about 70 kilometers from Busan.

Local authorities indicate that the two knew each other and had a conflicting relationship. However, the causes of the crime are currently unknown.

After the stabbing, the suspect published three posts on his channel on the video platform, which has about 8,000 subscribers.

He apologized in the first post, expressing his dissatisfaction with someone who, in his opinion, “harms the happiness of others.” Finally, he spoke about his arrest in Jeonju, expressing his regret for “not being able to see the ocean” and expressing his gratitude to his followers.
