a The WhatsApp Tests a feature that the user should allow Archive conversations Permanently, allowing it to “hide” unwanted chat within the app itself. The “New File” functionality has been available since May to anyone using the beta version of Iphone (iOS).

According to information from the WABetaInfo website that specializes in news about The WhatsAppArchived chats can be silenced by the user, which will not be automatically taken out of the archive when a new message is received. This is the default setting that the app currently supports.

To use the New Archive, just go to the settings menu, tap on Chats and activate the “Keep archived chats” function. Those who do not wish to use the feature will continue to use the old system, as the archived conversation is automatically unarchived when a new message is received.

Although it looks very secretive, a user with hidden messages will have a notification pinned to the homepage indicating that there are archived conversations. Also, according to WABetaInfo, it will not be possible to delete the notification, which should also display information such as the number of unread messages and mentions to the user.

The feature that will allow the user to “hide” conversations within the app does not yet have an official release date for the standard version of WhatsApp.
