A woman was arrested after rioting on a flight from Tampa, Florida (USA) to Atlanta, Georgia (USA), Thursday (24). The passenger, named Patricia Cornwall, reportedly slapped and spat at another passenger as he yelled at him to put on his mask.
In a video posted on social media, it is possible to see that the woman was wearing the mask on her chin asking the man to wear the mask. The passenger justifies himself by saying that he is eating at that moment and indicates the fact that the woman is also without a mask.
The woman replied, “I will wear my mask when you wear yours.” After the attack on the elderly man, the flight crew tried to contain the woman and were also attacked.
After landing at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, officers heard witness testimony and took the woman into custody.
“Flight 2790 from Tampa to Atlanta was serviced by law enforcement after an uncontrolled disturbance by a customer during the flight,” a Delta spokesperson said.
“Situations like this are rare for the vast majority of our customers, and Delta has zero tolerance for rebel behavior at our airports and on board our aircraft,” the company’s statement says.
