Donald Trump Jr. A text message was sent to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows two days after the 2020 presidential election outlining ways to keep his father in office, CNN reported, citing a review of the letter delivered to congressional investigators.

The text was sent from then-President Donald Trump’s eldest son on November 5, 2020, while votes were being counted in several states, and provided ideas for sabotaging the Electoral College process to secure a second term for Trump.

“We have operational control,” Trump Jr. said. Meadows, according to a CNN analysis of the letter delivered to the US House of Representatives committee investigating last year’s deadly attack on the Capitol.

“We have multiple paths, and we control them all,” Trump Jr. wrote, outlining a plan that includes lawsuits and recounts in key states, as well as alternative lists of “Trump voters.” If that fails, Trump Jr. He proposed that Congress vote to re-elect Trump on January 6, 2021.

Mainstream media predicted Democrat Joe Biden would be the 2020 winner on November 7 – two days after Trump Jr’s announcement. To Meadows – The Electoral College saw Biden’s victory on December 14.

Congress was about to certify the results on January 6, 2021, when Trump supporters stormed Capitol Hill, forcing lawmakers to withhold testimony and delay them for hours.

The House committee is investigating the attack linked to seven deaths and nearly 800 arrests.

Representatives of Trump Jr. He did not immediately respond to a request for comment. “After the election, Don received many letters from his supporters and others. Given the history, it is possible that this letter came from someone else and was sent,” his attorney, Alan Wouterfas, told CNN.
