The record for the world’s tallest woman belongs to Romesa Gilsey, who fulfilled her dream of flying for the first time, and still has a very long way to go.

    disclosure

At 2 meters and 15 centimeters, Ramisa Gelsey is the current world record holder for the tallest woman, and for this reason, she had to travel from her home in Turkey to the USA, where she will take part in an event in the Guinness Book of World Records. She has the so-called Weaver syndrome, which causes a person to grow faster and beyond the normal range.

She can walk for some time with the help of a walker, but most of the time she is in a wheelchair. To go from Istanbul to San Francisco, she got help from Turkish Airlines, which adapted a Boeing 777-300ER on the route between the two cities.

The standard interior configuration has 9 seats per row in economy, divided into 3 3-seater blocks. However, in the last three rows, due to the flatness of the end of the fuselage, there are 7 seats, being a block with two seats in the windows. And in this block of windows they adapted a bed for Ramissa.

The seat backs are fully tilted forward and the bed is positioned at the top with various supports, including a small table so you can enjoy the service on board.

“This was my first flight, but it definitely won’t be the last. From now on, I will be honored and happy to travel to different parts of the world with Turkish Airlines. I am very excited and grateful to everyone who helped me on this flight which took 19 hours in total, thank you very much for you “.said the record holder on her Instagram page.
