The UK Government has donated medical equipment worth more than €2.3 million, including ventilators, pumps and monitors, to Ukraine.

To support hospitals in Ukraine, the donation package will support up to 60 intensive care beds. Includes a variety of ventilators, oxygen concentrators, suction pumps, patient monitors, volumetric pumps and heated humidifiers.

This is the equipment that is urgently needed for healthcare facilities in Ukraine to treat citizens.

“The UK’s support for our friends in Ukraine is unwavering and we want to help in any way we can. This donation will support hospitals and build on previous deliveries of life-saving medicines and equipment.

Victoria Atkins, UK Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, said: “We will continue to work closely with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health and other partners to ensure humanitarian aid reaches the people who need it most as quickly as possible.”

The donation came after a request for assistance from the Ukrainian Minister of Health. The Health and Social Care Secretary also recently met with the First Lady of Ukraine, where she assured her of the UK Government's continued support.

This donation comes in addition to more than €416 million in humanitarian aid pledged by the United Kingdom since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. UK support contributes to the international response, which will reach 11 million people in Ukraine in 2023 and 15.8 million in 2022.
