Alpha Stone is 5 months old to Mitchell, but according to his mother, it is not uncommon for people to think he is the twin of his older sister, who is 1.5 years old. This is because, despite the age difference, the two are practically the same size. According to The sunAlpha is the third largest baby born in the UK to the world on 28 October 2021 via C-section weighing 6.4 kg.

The “little one” now weighs 7kg and his mother, Cheryl Mitchell, 31, says the clothes for 1-year-olds have already become smaller. “We knew he was going to be a big boy because my stomach was big, but we did not think much of it until he was here. I’ve had three children before, with Alba, and it felt like we went straight for three months, avoiding the newborn status.”

“It didn’t fit into any RN or 0-3 month old outfit – it went straight to the 6 month old models and after that it lost quickly. Now she wears clothes for 1 year old babies and that too is getting too tight,” she says, suffering from gestational diabetes during pregnancy. This explains the size of the alpha.

Fetal macrosomia is one of the consequences of weight gain while still in the womb. Children of mothers with gestational diabetes are also more likely to be obese and adults with diabetes.

It also seems that the alpha may weigh more consistently than normal. Because the mother says she decided to skim milk and serve dishes like cookies and porridge with the formula. The World Health Organization guidelines state that infants should be exclusively breastfed until the age of six months and in a complementary way to food introduction until the age of 2 or older. Cookies and other processed foods are not recommended by pediatricians and nutritionists because they are so low at this age because they are low calorie foods and increase the risk of childhood obesity.

“We started introducing porridge to the baby because he’s still hungry in the morning. He’s not six months old yet, but it’s not affecting his digestive system, so it’s okay,” says Cheryl, Rouge Angel’s mother, 5. Leon.
