A Santa Catarina e-commerce giant has been banned from selling online after a torrent of customer complaints. The city of Yeesco, based in Brusque, was notified by the municipality of Procon on Monday (29). According to the Consumer Protection Agency, the company has accumulated 62,000 complaints over the past 12 months on the Reclame Aqui website. This means about 170 complaints per day. The main reason is non-delivery and delay in delivery of products.

The Itajai resident told the report that she made a purchase on Yeesco in December 2023, and the clothes were expected to arrive within 30 days. Four months later, she still has not received her purchase and has received no response from her attempts to contact the company. The client report is just one of many shared online. The company's social networks are a thermometer of the situation: comments on Instagram have been restricted and the majority of reactions on Facebook have been negative.

“Yeesco has one of the largest sales sites in the entire country, but it is also one of the Brazilian record holders for complaints on Reclame Aqui,” Procon de Brusque reported in a note.

According to the agency, the store will no longer be able to sell products through the website except after complying with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law and the Delivery Law. Including: accurately indicating the date of delivery of the product, and at the time of purchase, even electronically, delivering the document mentioned in Article 4 of Law No. 15779/2012With legally required information. What does Yesko say?

The company expressed itself in a note:

We are a company from Brusquão, which has been selling its products via e-commerce and physical stores for 4 years. During this period, more than 2 million 200 thousand orders have already been sent throughout Brazil, and more than 100 thousand people access our website every day, which puts another company from Brusquão in the national spotlight, being one of the top 10 e-commerce companies. Fashion platforms in the country. We have more than 300 direct employees and more than 1,000 indirect employees, meaning thousands of families depend on the company.

Procon's decision is hasty, as it does not analyze the volume of complaints in relation to the number of orders submitted by Yeesco every day. Procon de Brusque's decision gives the company a deadline to organize some points in its work, such as obtaining clearer information about delivery dates, in addition to what already exists. So, Yeesco and the agency are talking so the points can be ironed out if necessary.

It is also worth noting that the company operates as a physical and online seller, which means a chain of suppliers and service providers, such as transport companies, suppliers of raw materials, outsourcing services for all areas, and in a large part of the complaints, occur not the fault of Yeesco, but since the company She's the one doing the selling, so she ends up being the focus of the complaint.
