The region’s governor, Vyacheslav Chaus, said a Russian attack on the northern Ukrainian city of Chernigov on Thursday left at least nine dead and four wounded.
According to him, the attack took place in a residential area of the city, where there are two schools. He explained that “Russian planes attacked private homes and two schools in the Staraya Podosevka region. Rescue services operating in the region say that nine dead and four wounded.”
“Many residential buildings were damaged, windows, walls, ceilings and balconies were smashed, walls and ceilings destroyed in some places, and there are no military installations nearby, and there are hospitals, several schools, kindergartens and dozens of skyscrapers nearby.” The governor said a telegram.

On Wednesday, the Russians occupied the port city of Kherson, one of the largest cities of Ukraine. Representatives of Ukraine and Russia meet Thursday in Belarus to discuss a ceasefire between the two countries.
