The Russian Defense Ministry said, on Saturday, that the Ukrainian forces suffered more than 800 casualties in the past 24 hours, including “up to 20 American mercenaries.”

“More than 100 fighters were exterminated, including up to 20 American mercenaries,” said Russian Defense Spokesman General Igor Konashenkov, in an attack by Russian aviation on the sites of the Kraken National Formation and mercenary units in the Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine.

The general added in his usual morning report that up to 130 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in another attack in the same area, this time with high-precision ground weapons.

Konashenkov said that in the neighboring Dnepropetrovsk region, near the town of Velikomykhailovka, Russian tactical aviation annihilated the 110th Ukrainian Regional Defense Battalion, causing more than 350 casualties – including 200 deaths.

According to the military spokesman, in the same region and in Mykolaiv, more than 200 Ukrainian soldiers were killed by Russian artillery fire.

In addition, Konashenkov noted that the Ukrainian Air Force lost more than 200 men in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of air-to-surface missile attacks.
