    The salary bonus was given to all workers with formal jobs in 2021. The payment, which began in February 2023, was completed in July of the same year. To be eligible for PIS Pasep 2023, you will need to earn a monthly salary below the minimum wage and have worked for at least 30 days during the base year. In addition, you must be registered with the PIS Pasep Participation Fund or the National Register of Social Information (CNIS) for at least five years.

    What is PIS PASIB?

    The Social Integration Program (PIS) targets workers in the private sector, is governed by the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws), and administered by the Caixa Econômica Federal. The Public Employee Assets Training Program (Pasep) is intended for public employees and employees of public companies and mixed economy companies, and is managed by Banco do Brasil. The PIS/Pasep bonus is a benefit paid annually, with a maximum value equal to the minimum wage in effect on the date of payment.

    In 2023, workers who received their wages until May were entitled to a maximum of R$1,302, while those who received their wages from May onwards received their payments based on the new value of the minimum wage (R$1,320). The maximum amount is given to workers who were hired within 12 months of 2021; Whoever works less time gets a proportional amount.

    How to withdraw PIS/Pasep 2023?

    PIS/Pasep 2023 benefit can be redeemed until December 28 at the agencies responsible for payment or through digital platforms. After the expiration of the deadline, it is necessary to request the withdrawal of funds from the competent authority. It is worth noting that salary bonus resources are available for recovery for up to five years.
