A nurse accused of killing seven babies in the United Kingdom pleaded guilty in a handwritten letter on Thursday (13). Lucy Ledby, 32, read the document to the jury reviewing the case. This information was reported by the British newspaper The Sun.

In the text, Britton wrote “I’m bad, I did this” in capital letters. After admitting his intent to commit the murders, Ledby justified himself to jurors.

“I don’t deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because I wasn’t good enough. I am a terrible and evil person.

In addition to the seven newborn deaths, Ledby is accused of injuring ten others during a year’s work at the neonatal ward of the Countess of Chester Hospital in the north-west city of Cheshire.

According to the court, he also photographed the bodies of the two dead children.

Investigations show the young woman injected air into patients’ bloodstreams between June 2015 and June 2016. In total, he answered 22 charges during that period. Pediatric consultants at the health center began to suspect a “significant increase” in the number of children dying or suffering from “catastrophic” falls.
