Lolo Santos postpones his shows after being hospitalized due to dengue fever and other health complications
Baritone Lolo Santos, 71, is facing a difficult period due to health problems. The singer announced on Thursday (13) on social media that he had been diagnosed with dengue fever. On Monday (10) he was diagnosed with influenza and acute gastroenteritis.
Due to these complications, Lulu Santos was forced to postpone her performances scheduled for this weekend. “The musician has also been diagnosed with dengue fever and, based on medical advice, will continue treatment with complete rest for a few more days, with the necessity of postponing his concert schedule this weekend: Friday (14), in Sorocaba/SP, and Saturday (15) , in Campinas/SP,” he informed his team in a memo.
The presentations have been rescheduled for October 4 and 5 in Sorocaba and Campinas, respectively. “We inform you that the ticket is valid for the new date, but anyone who chooses to return it can contact us via email: [email protected]. The press release explained that the refund will be made on the same payment platform where the ticket was purchased.
Lolo Santos was admitted to hospital on Friday (7) and was discharged three days later. He was diagnosed with influenza A and acute gastroenteritis. He explained in a video clip that he did not wear makeup to show the appearance of a person who has not been vaccinated against the disease. Lulu, who appeared depressed, said she had been sick for seven days and regretted not receiving the vaccination this year. “We are a country that has a tradition of efficiency in vaccination, but for some reason this disappeared and I ended up falling victim to it,” he said during the “Mais Você” program on TV Globo.
