    Did you accidentally delete an important WhatsApp conversation? Calm down, you can restore it, on both iPhone and Android. WhatsApp automatically backs up messages, either locally or in the cloud, allowing you to restore old conversations.

    However, it is important to have an active backup so that you can restore messages. It is also important that you do not make a new backup before restoring, otherwise WhatsApp will restore the most recent backup, and you will lose the messages you want to recover.

    Instructions to recover deleted WhatsApp messages

    To recover deleted messages using Google Drive Backup, follow the steps below:

    1. Go to “Applications” on your cell phone;
    2. access to WhatsApp;
    3. clear all storage data;
    4. log back into your account;
    5. Restore the backup.

    Remember that it is not possible to automatically restore a Google Drive backup, so you need to follow these steps to get your chats back. It is important that the phone number used is the same as the backup number. If WhatsApp takes too long to find the backup, close the app and open it again to try again.

    With these tips, you don’t have to worry about missing important messenger conversations. It is important to always keep an up-to-date backup to ensure that your messages are safe and available for recovery.

    Do a local recovery

    If you fail to recover deleted WhatsApp messages using Google Drive backup, you can try to restore the local backup on your Android device. The messenger saves up to seven backups on your phone, and they are stored in the /WhatsApp/Databases folder.
