Everybody Hates Chris tells, in part, the story of comedian Chris Rock and his life in New York’s Bed Stewie neighborhood. The title of the production is a parody of the sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond”.
Actor Tyler James Williams was responsible for live rock in the plot. He co-stars with veterans Terry Crews and Tychina Arnold, along with co-stars Tekan Richmond, Imani Hakim, and Vincent Martella.
After it was broadcast on Record TV in Brazil, the series became very popular, resulting in well-known phrases used by fans in the comments of the cast’s posts on social networks.
This even caused controversy with Chris’ translator, who didn’t understand why Brazilians would repeat several similar words and phrases, until he ended up deactivating the comments for a while.
Actress Imani Hakim played the character of Tonya Rock in the plot. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA and her age is 29 years old. At the age of seven, he studied acting at the Karamo House Theatre, and when he was 14 years old, he moved to the city of Los Angeles to find work.
At his father’s side, Hakim had a tender moment, even sleeping in his own car. Her first job was on the series, playing Chris Rock’s sister for four seasons.
In 2020, the actress appeared in the cast of the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest and the movie ‘Dinner Party’. On Instagram, Imani has more than 420k followers and she always shares pictures and videos showing her routines and new ones.
