The Football Association said on Thursday that the transgender women will not be able to compete in women's football in England after a change in politics out of the decision to cut the UK on this issue.
The highest British court ruled on April 16 that biological women only, and not sexually transformed women to define women in accordance with equality laws, a historic decision received by sexual converted supporters, but they were presented by the government to bring clarity.
The FA policy allowed sexually transgender women to participate in women's football, but this will change from June 1.
“The Supreme Court decision on April 16 means that we will change our policy,” said the entity that governs English football in a statement.
“The transgender women will not be able to play in women's football in England, and this policy will be implemented from June 1, 2025.”
FA stated that the policy that allows the participation of sexually transformed women in sport aims to make sport within the reach of the largest possible number of people, “supported by specialized legal advice” and is compatible with the international rules set by UEFA and FIFA.
He added: “We understand that this will be difficult for people who simply want to exercise that they love in the type they get to know, and we communicate with the sexual transgender women who are currently playing to explain the changes and how they can remain participating in this sport.”
The decision occurs a month after a decision is made that sexually transformed women can continue to play in women's sport, as long as they maintain testosterone levels less than 5 n/mall for at least 12 months.
A spokesman for British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer said that although every sport can define its own policies, it is still required to work within the limits of the law.
“We make it clear that biology is important when it comes to female sports, and everyone must comply with the law,” he said.
“We will continue to ensure that women and girls throughout the country can enjoy sports and support entitlements that protect integrity, justice and sports security.”
The Scottish Football Confederation (SFA) also announced on Thursday that it holds women's transformed women for women.
“As a sport with a sexual impact, the Scottish Football Association Council (SFA) decided that since the beginning of the season 2025-26, only biological women will be able to play in women's football and women, which is governed by SFA.”
“SFA will provide guidelines on the implementation of the updated policy, including the appropriate participation opportunities for sexually transformed individuals, before the policy has entered into force since the beginning of the new season.”
