On Tuesday the 18th, the Federal Revenue Administration seized a 2022 Ferrari F8 Spider in the port of Rio de Janeiro. The car came from Germany in January this year.
Revenue took over the Ferrari because the importer didn’t have the “financial backing” to get a car of that value. The vehicle document was also irregular.

The owner of the car is a 37-year-old man who, when required by the tax authority, must provide documents proving his financial ability to own the car.

In order to buy a Ferrari in his own name, as an individual, the man used money from loans made to a company – which he himself owned.
As per the revenue, the company does not have any operating activity in its region, which would be the provision of consulting services.
The car has been in custody since January, and the reservation process ended this week. The criminal part of the procedure, according to the revenue, should be the responsibility of the Federal Police. The car, unless there is a court ruling, must be put up for auction within about six months.
Until then, the red Ferrari F8 Spider will be stored in a container – about 10 meters long – at a car depot located in Porto do Rio.
