For those who don’t remember, Henry was kicked out of D.C. at the end of last year, after several controversies involving his dismissal without warning.

Known throughout the world for his role as Superman, actor Henry Cavill was released from the role at the end of last year by James Gunn and Peter Safran. At the time, James justified the dismissal, claiming that studio dcnauta would introduce a younger, live-action Superman in the DCU by a new actor. He also mentioned that he had discussed other characters of Cavill in the DC Universe, but did not reveal which ones.
While Henry Cavill’s return to DC is uncertain, fans of the actor and DC are calling for him to return as the superhero Apollo in The Authority. The film was announced earlier this year by DC Studios as one of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters films. Apollo is like a generic Superman who also has powers similar to the Man of Steel.
The abilities of both depend on the sun. However, unlike Superman, the body of the superhero Apollo behaves like a solar panel rather than like a battery, since his power relies on solar energy reserves. Physically, Henry Cavill would be perfect as Apollo. But the fact that the actor isn’t gay like the character can tell us a lot, because acting has been so important lately.
The current possibility is that Apollo’s interpreter is also homosexual. Anyway, Henry Cavill may be one of the names quoted for the live powerhouse boss, as per recent rumors, Matthew Vaughn is the likely director of the feature. Vaughn recently worked with Cavill on Argylle, set to open in theaters this year, and he’s also a huge fan of the British actor.
