Diogo Nogueira calls Bolsonaro a “monster” and thanks the Northeast for defeating him in the election

Sambista Diogo Nogueira thanked the people of the Northeast for their contribution to the defeat of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the recent elections. The artist’s statement was made during a show in São João de Caruaru, Pernambuco.

“I’m here to thank the people of the Northeast for putting this beast out of power,” said the singer.

In the northeast, Lula received 12,572,020 votes more than Bolsonaro. Its largest voting stronghold was Bahia (6,097,815), followed by Ceará (3,807,782) and Pernambuco (3,640,791). However, Batista’s victory was more comfortable in Piauí, with 76.86% of the valid votes.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that Diogo Nogueira has attacked Bolsonaro in presentations. Last year, when he sang “Tá Escolha” by the samba band Revelação, he decided to change the chorus and send a letter to the former captain.

The original lyrics read: “Lift your head, put your foot down and go in faith / Drive away this sorrow / Just believe that the dawn of a new day / Your time will come”. However, Diogo sang: “Head up, put your foot down and go with faith / Send Bolsonaro away”.
