    The decision was made by Judge Guilherme Pedrosa López, who stated in the document that until the inventory is completed, the estate has the responsibility to repay the debts incurred during his lifetime.


    The lawyer representing the estate of Olavo de Carvalho, when consulted, stated that he had not yet been notified of the decision and that it would respond directly to the case file.

    The singer's press office responded that it does not intend to comment on this decision.

    In 2019, writer Olavo de Carvalho filed a criminal complaint against Caetano Veloso after an article the musician published in Folha des Paulo. The document asked the singer to answer for crimes of defamation, slander and insult.

    Olavo's lawyer Francisco Carlos Cabrera, who signed the petition, referred to the musician as a “scoundrel” and “a pervert dressed as a columnist” and said that Ike claimed to have been exiled (during the dictatorship), “but he never showed a document.” In his defense, Olafo said that the artist had dishonored him.

    In 2021, a Rio court rejected another appeal by Bolsonaro's mentor, who claimed he was unable to pay the singer the full amount, and the debt continued.
