The expansion of Caixa’s procedures for female clients was announced at a press conference in Rio de Janeiro with the bank’s president, Daniela Marquez.

After Caixa’s former president, Pedro Guimarães, left the presidency after becoming the target of allegations of sexual harassment by employees, Daniela Márquez took over. Since then, the bank has been striving to take actions that are more focused on the best interests of women. The former president denied the allegations.

The President claimed that there is neglect in the financial sector with regard to communication and encouragement to women. Marquez emphasized that the idea is to expand the economic potential of women, because, according to statistics, this is not absorbed into financial products, and there is still a long way to go.

The program was launched in August with the aim of welcoming, guiding and serving exclusively the female audience in the branches and other channels of the bank, with the aim of removing all doubts related to the financial sector.

Individual customers who contract with Caixa Direct Credit (CDC) will receive a 5% discount on fees and interest. At Union Light Auto, the discount can be up to 10% on management fees.

The bank also announced a three-month exemption in the current account services basket, and real estate credit with a profitability of one percentage point higher than the Certificate of Deposit Interbank (CDI) and Seguro Vida Mulher with exemption from payment in the case of cancer, and in cases of breast, ovarian and uterine cancer the insured is compensated on him.

Until the end of September, Caixa anticipates the possibility of a pause in the payment of Caixa Direct Credit (CDC) and, in mortgage contracts, provides repayment at 75% of the installment for a period of six months with an increase. In the balance due if the contract is in default. However, these conditions will only be valid in cases of maternity or adoption.

Pregnant women can also take advantage of a grace period of up to six months to start paying the SBPE housing credit payments.
